Free Beer Recordings

No one has ever accused Free Beer of being "Studio Rats".  We are not known to perfect our sound over months overdubbing solos, background vocals, tweaking EQ, remastering backing tracks and hiring studio musicians to perfect parts we cannot play.  Free Beer is more of a "One Take Wonder".  We set up our instruments, you set up your mics, someone yells 1-2-3-4, a record button is pressed and off we go.  Our motto is "I don't know how it goes, but it's going to go something like this..."

Knowing our parameters, here are some examples of our in studio recording experiments.  Enjoy!

Groove Box Studios  2/16/13

This segment was recorded for an episode of the TV Show "Under The Radar Michigan" which ran on February 16th 2013. During the segment highlighting Groove Box Studios in The Russell Industrial Center in Detroit, they needed a band to act as an example of how their process works.
Lucky enough, the Host Tom Daldin and Producer Jim Edelman just happen to be in Free Beer. We gladly offered our services. Here are the results.
