Cinco De Mayo

Free Beer headlined the main stage at the big Cinco De Mayo celebration in downtown Royal Oak at the Farmers Market. We were really excited to get this gig, but neither Dewey or Jeff could make it, so we signed up Mike Weilgat, bassman from Domino Effect, who sat in for Beermas last year signed up for the chance to play so close to home. Then Tom rechecked his calendar and saw a graduation on the date. So we checked our stable of sit in Drummers and all of the regulars were booked too. Thank goodness Scott lives next to Russ Ristau, drummer for the Basements. After a furious few weeks of practice Russ and Mike had the set list down and we hit the stage ... LAST ... after everyone was good and lubed up from when the doors opened at 4PM!!
